Cork Community Broadband provides all the equipment required to connect you to the Internet

The installation cost covers an installer visiting your location and completing a standard installation of our equipment at your premises, and includes the cost of cabling (10 meters), mounting poles, connectors, and brackets (which become your property). The integrated radio and antenna unit remains the property of Cork Community Broadband and will be removed should you cancel the service. The standard Antenna will connect to our Access Points upto 6KM away



Some locations will not have a strong enough signal with the Standard Integrated Radio and Antenna to connect to the internet. To allow you to connect to the Internet we can do a non-standard installation of an Long Range Integrated Radio and Antenna We charge an additional €20 for the installation of this unit. The Long Range Unit can extend your distance from our Access Point by upto 6 km.(6km + 6km = 12km)



Again some locations will not have a strong enough signal with the Long Range Integrated Radio and Antenna to connect to the internet. To allow you to connect to the Internet we can do a non-standard installation of an High Powered Long Range Integrated Radio and Antenna We charge an additional €100 for the installation of this unit over the Standard install. The High Powered Long Range Unit can extend your distance from our Access Point by upto 15 km. (6km + 15km = 21km)


We also have solutions (if you require them) for the internal networking of your premises. The prices below (including installation) are only available during the initial install of your Broadband connection

1. We can install additional Cat5 cable @ €50 per hour for the installer to run the cable - The €50 (inc VAT) will cover the cost of the labour, the cable and all connectors.

2. We can install Ethernet Over Power devices, to utilise the electrical cabling already in your premises, These units cost €50 each(inc VAT)


3. We can install a Wireless Access Point, This will allow you to connect WIFI enabled computers to the internet from anywhere in your premises and also includes a 5 port switch, Wireless Access Points cost €100 (inc VAT)


4. We can install a 5 dBi Antenna, for the Wireless Access Point, This will help to extend the reach of the access point cost €25 (inc VAT)


5. We can install a 8 port switch, This will allow you to connect multiple computers to the internet, cost €35 (inc VAT)


6. If your computer doesn't have a Network Card installed we can install a 10/100 Network Card, It is a requirement of our service that your computer has a Network Card Installed - Most computers have these supplied when purchased, cost €25 (inc VAT)
